Our project was located outside of the normal trade area of Schneider construction and was a considerable distance. As a result, there were challenges with seeing the work progress against the design architecture specifications. There were some subcontractors that were not following the design specs (cabinetry, trim carpentry, cabinetry installation, bathroom glass door supplier) and needed more oversight, which may have been the result of the distance of the project.
The plumbing, electrical, flooring, painting, carpet/tile installation were all exceptional and met expectations. There was other work needing more oversight and mgt, especially drywall finishing, and cabinet installation.
Overall, the communication was very good with Schneider Construction and the project was completed to our satisfaction…..and under budget!

As a State Representative Vicki was a tireless worker for her district. She was the Chairwomen of the Local Government committee and did an excellent job of handling the difficult negotiations that are necessary when sorting through the details of how new laws will affect local communities. The citizens of Missouri were fortunate to have someone with her background and wisdom leading that important committee.

We had a total rehab of a 1929 house brought up-to-date. We also had an extra bathroom added. My kitchen is updated with high-end appliances and all the bells and whistles! Couldn’t be any happier with Schneider Construction, would recommend them to anyone who needs their help in a full or partial rehab.

Schneider Enterprises LTD on a two phase renovation project of an owner occupied 6,500 square foot single story office building at Public Water Supply District No. 2 of St. Charles County, Missouri. We are pleased to recommend Schneider Custom Homes as a general commercial contractor. We are currently working with them on two St. Charles County ambulance facilities that are expected to be complete on time and within budget. Previously, they were the general contractor for an animal hospital in 2004 in which LePique and Ome was the architect of record. That project was completed on time and in budget. We have been impressed with their attention to detail and the ease of working with their personnel. It is with great pleasure we recommend Schneider Construction for commercial general contracting. We have an on-going relationship with them, and are currently working with them on two municipal projects. Previously, they were the general contractor for a salon tenant finish, of which Bart Berneking, Inc. was the design firm. Said project was completed within anticipated time and budget limits. First let me just say right off the bat that I would most definitely recommend Brad and his crew for any home improvement project you may have. The diversity in his building knowledge and expertise was valuable to me because I had more than one project I needed done and was able to use the same company for both. Schneider Construction Services replaced my roof. The process was SIMPLE! I called the insurance company, they sent the check and Brad brought the samples and sent his crew out. 2 days later, my house had a brand new look with a new color and upgraded architectural shingles). The larger project I had done was a brand new pool deck. I had a budget and no precise plan. Brad was able to utilize the limited space I had available (city says I have to be so far from the easement, etc.) while maximizing the deck space! I had come up with a “plan” and his was so much better! I had the added obstacle of adding on to an existing deck and they were able to incorporate it in a way that you can’t tell it wasn’t always supposed to be together! Brad and Mike’s attention to detail is NOTICEABLE on my deck! There were no cut corners and the quality is top notch! I’ve already had MANY people comment on how well the deck is built. One comment was “this thing would withstand a hurricane”! I think I believe it. The deck is elevated and circles an above ground swimming pool, so I was a bit nervous about the height and stability of the structure. I can’t get enough of being out there. Every morning I begin my day on the new deck and can’t imagine being more pleased with the results. Brad worked diligently to stay within my budget and provide a finished product that I will enjoy for years to come!

My experience with Schneider Construction Services was a very good one. I am thrilled with the results. Brad was patient during the planning stages while I tried to “help” work out the best plan for the deck. He and Mike ended up building something that far exceeded anything I could have come up with. It was nice to know I had accomplished and trust-worthy people working on my project. I was thankful they understood the importance of my budget and had a willingness to show me options. They didn’t just build a little deck…they built a gathering spot for my family. The roof they put on my home adds value and definite curb appeal.

When it came time to choose a contractor for the new “Senior Living” wing we were adding to our house, we looked at several well-respected contractors, but in the end chose Schneider Contracting mainly because they had recently worked on another project with our architect, Jane Ann Forney of Forney +, and she highly recommended them for their work ethic and quality of workmanship.

We knew we had made the right decision from the beginning, and Brad Schneider, grandson of the founder of this 60 year old company and one of its principals, quickly became our “new best friend.” Friendly, humorous, charming and extremely attentive to what we desired and required in our addition…he turned all the aspects of what could have been a stressful time, into a real joy to look forward to each day.

Early on when we asked if there were places where we might be able to save money on the project, Brad worked with our architect to see what could be done, and was quick to point out where a cost could be cut that would be unnoticeable in the overall project, but just as quick to insist on sticking to the original plan if it was something that affected the integrity of the overall design.

Brad paid attention to things that, we quickly found out, were above and beyond what could be expected from a contractor. We met with a cabinet contractor several times to make certain we came up with exactly what we wanted in both design and functionality. These meetings were set up by our designer, Garison Salinas of Columbus Design, and he included Brad, mainly, he thought, as a courtesy. Brad not only sat through all of these meetings, but contributed meaningful suggestions every step of the way. Garison said that was the first time he had ever had a contractor spend more than a cursory hour or so in these planning meetings.

Our original house has intricately detailed brickwork, and because matching it was essential in making sure the addition was seamlessly integrated into the house, Brad had to make certain to find brick that was a perfect match. It turned out that the brick used to build our house in 1941 was used brick at that time! So Brad was challenged in finding what was probably 100 year old brick for the addition. To top it off, the original brick was of a different size and coloration from that used in the current day. The first trip to the brickyard resulted simply in a promise from them that they would call each time they received a new lot they felt might match. On the third trip, Brad was rewarded with enough brick that matched the house to do the job. We were so very happy that he understood the importance of this match to us. An example of how easily this could have gone wrong was that we had been told by other contractors, that matching wasn’t a big problem – if the brick colors weren’t right, they would just paint the individual bricks to match. – Another nuance not picked up by other contractors was that the mortar was totally different in composition and color from newer brickwork, but Brad was aware of that as well.

Brad was also very attentive to making sure that details such as water drainage was carefully planned and grading was done in accordance with the very strict codes imposed by our community…and to insure, that the hardwood floor exactly matched and was perfectly level where the addition joined the original house…and had millwork throughout the addition but especially on custom bookcases made to exactly match the original profiles …and to make sure the hardware was of the same style and quality…and have the shutters custom-made to match those on the original house, and, and… (hopefully I have impressed you enough with Brad’s thoroughness and attention to detail….)

We can’t say enough good things about the whole Schneider crew from the office manager to Mike, the lead foreman. Always there for us; Mike never was confronted with a question or a problem that he didn’t calmly listen to and take care of in an ever-smiling and pleasant manner. Each of Schneider’s subcontractors was highly professional and dedicated to his or her craft. Because we were building in the summertime, we often had lunch sitting on our patio eating and visiting with whoever was on the job at the time. Truly nice people.

Oh, I guess the ultimate compliment to Schneider is that Columbus Design immediately got Brad involved in several of their projects for other clients, including one that had been stalled for over a year because of construction issues, that is now proceeding beautifully with Schneider. The only unfortunate thing about this, is that we no longer see our “new best friend” daily as he’s devoting too much attention to all these other clients. He does come back to visit occasionally so are learning to be gracious about sharing him with others.

We can honestly say that our experience with Schneider Construction was an absolute pleasure and we are delighted to give them our highest recommendation.

Brad met with my insurance adjuster to inspect my roof, and within the week I had confirmation that I needed a new roof. Within the next few days Brad had shingles delivered to my house and the next day the old shingles were removed and the new shingles installed. The suggestion from Brad in regards to the color and using architectural shingles surpassed my expectations and made my 18 year old house look almost brand new.

As an architect, I find that working with Brad Schneider is easy! Brad is personable and respectful to our clients and has delivered on what he has promised.
Brad understands that I am looking for quality, fair pricing, ability to get the work on schedule and following the design intent. He shows a willingness to work on complex and unusual designs, willing to offer constructive ideas to either enhance the design or make it more affordable. It’s this ability to think outside the box that i appreciate.

Schneider Construction Services was great to work within our build-out of
clair de lune, a 2200 sf. retail space in the Granaway Shops in Ladue, MO. We were an out-of-town client and Brad particularly, was very sensitive to keeping us informed of their progress, with daily phone calls or emails with photos. Even though they had not seen our Kansas City location, they delivered a look and finish to our St. Louis store that captured the essence of our original retail environment. Schneider Construction Services was very collaborative and open to our input and suggestions. They provided a creative touch beyond what the plans called for. Work was completed on time. Schneider Construction was great to work with. We had our kitchen remodeled, opening it up to the rest of the house. This involved removing two walls, re-routing electric and downdraft ducts, entirely new electric and lighting, plumbing of water and gas lines, drywall work and installation of new wood and tile flooring. Brad and his contractors were interesed in offering services to provide a truly custom design and look. When asked to so something unique, Brad was excited and even offerred his opinion and advice on how to make our home look better. The remodel looks fantastic and is extremely functional.

Schneider Construction built our addition consisting of a hallway, two large closets, a full ADA bath, and a large 3-season room. The addition blends seamlessly with our home. The construction is amazingly solid. We are extremely happy and our friends are in awe. Brad Schneider was solid, rarely frustrated, well connected with sub contractors, fun yet professional, and very concerned that we were pleased every step of the way. He saw us through to the very last door stop. Our friends are now calling him to work on their homes. As a former teacher, I would give Brad an A+.
